Something PRIME this way comes…
If you’re anything like me, you want to join in all the spooky festivities, but don’t really feel like heading to the costume store. I am here to give you an ALL AMAZON DIY version of an easy witch costume for women!!! You can put together this look with just a few quick clicks, and be on your way to a stylish and simple look!
I always say I don’t love Halloween as much as other people. While I’ll admit, it isn’t my favorite holiday, I do enjoy Halloween. Every year when it comes around, I find myself scrambling to put together some sort of simple costume (last minute of course) because I don’t want to be left out. As I start letting the ideas bubble up, I get more and more excited for it, and I wonder why I waited so long!!!
Rinse, Reuse, Repeat…
I think my favorite part about [most] of this “costume” is that the pieces are seasonal AND you can RE-WEAR them!!! Whaaaattttt??? Yes, that’s right, I put together this look with pieces that I can reuse all season long! The tights and scarf are probably not going to see much use again, but they’re so inexpensive that I don’t mind. They are comfortable, versatile and make the perfect modern easy witch costume. I hate putting costumes together, spending a ton of money, and then literally only wear it once, or at the very best, a couple of years later I will wear it again. I am a BIG FAN of costumes made from everyday clothes.
All Amazon Picks…
The hat (find it here!) is the piece I think I’m most excited for! Yes, it is definitely a pointy hat that I won’t wear ALL the time, but it is super cute & seasonal, and it can be worn not just for costume!!! Can’t wait to pair it with some jeans and a plaid scarf TBH lol.
Pick an accent color…
For this look, I decided on ONE accent color just to make it easy to coordinate. I went with Purple because, why not? Just a couple of pops of color help drive this look from Fall Basic b**** to Fall Basic WITCH, and let’s be honest, that is my wheelhouse 100%!
Actually, now that I think about it, this whole look has been derived from my dream fall outfit (swing dress, hat, tights, scarf and boots), but the pieces have been switched from fall colors to Halloween colors and I’m here for it! Here are my amazing and affordable striped witch tights (See them Here). I just used an inexpensive Pashmina (Get it Here) for my scarf and it worked out GREAT! Both of these come in MULTIPLE color options so you are sure to find the look you need.
Fall Vibes…
I have wanted a good swing dress (this one is Great) for a while now to pair with boots and scarves, but was having a hard time finding one that was a good length (I’m 5’7″ for reference). This dress was on Lightning Deal when I bought it so I got it in two colors, but the black is just PERFECT for my easy witch costume! I’m still pairing it with a hat, scarf and boots (these are mine) so it couldn’t be more perfect for the look I am going for!
Halloween in the time of a pandemic…
If you don’t have an Amazon Prime membership, how do you even survive these days?!? I love that this entire look arrived AT MY DOOR in less than a week. I don’t think it gets much simpler than that. When I’m already trying to put together a costume and wrangle a 3 4 year old, Amazon Prime is truly my best friend in life.
We aren’t sure what we will be doing (if anything) this year for Halloween, but its fun to think about none the less! Even if you’re planning on staying home and dressing up to watch scary movies, this look is PERFECT. I hope you all have a great and Festive Halloween this year! Everyone stay safe, and tag me in all your spooky posts (IG: @mess.marvelous)…I would LOVE to see what costumes you all come up with!
